Textruta: Midsummer Eve Our greatest annual arrangement, that started in the summer of 1971, is the  Midsummer Eve Festival in the Town Park of Skanör.  The folkdancers march from the Town Hall to the Town Park  with a concertina and a violin at the head. In the park the public is waiting to help us rise the maypole. Besides cafeteria and lottery-stands our union gives dancing performances with both adults and children. Our musicians play and the  public dances until midnight. The festival closes with the medieval torch dance, when the park is dark and only the light of the torches is shining. In the morning in the park we adorn the maypole with leafy branches and flowers. The festival place opens at 13.30 with a welcome speach and the maypole will be rised at 14.00. We have lottery-stands and cafeteria-stands. Cheerful musicians play to dance and rounddance. At 15.00 folklore-dancing performance with children and adults. Torch dance at 23.00. The festival closes at 24.00 Midsummer Day The Linné-Maypole - the pole which stands the whole year The Linné-maypole will be adorned with  leafy branches and flowers and will be rised in a festive way with  dances and rounddances on the Midsummer Day at 15.00   The Sunday after the Midsummer Day Mill-dance at the old mill of Skanör Dance performances, show of or folklore-dresses and dancing with the public at 16.00 - 17.00   Second Sunday in August Harvest feast at the Andreas Lundberga-house in Falsterbo We make a special bakeomelet and fry bacon and with this we serve smallbeer. We thresh in an oldfashioned way, dance and show how things were in the old days. Different themes every year. 13.00 - 16.00   The First Sunday of Advent Preparation for Christmas at the Andreas Lundberga-house in Falsterbo We prepare for Christmas at old manners. We make white gingerbread cakes, cast candles, grind grains of mustard and make decorations for the Christmas tree. 11.00 - 16.00 Textruta: Midsommarafton Vårt största årliga evenemang, som vi startade 1971, är midsommarfesten i Skanörs Stadspark på midsommarafton. Med dragspel och fioler i täten defilerar vi genom det sommarfagra Skanör från Rådhuset till Stadsparken. Här väntar en festglad publik på att få hjälpa till att resa majstången. Förutom kaffeservering och lotteristånd har Hembygdsgillet  dansuppvisningar med såväl barn som vuxna engagerade. Här spelar vi upp till allmän dans. På kvällen fortsätter den allmänna dansen till kl 24.00, med avbrott för den medeltida fackeldansen, då festplatsen försänks i mörker och endast skenet från facklorna lyser. Festen i Stadsparken börjar kl 13.30 midsommarafton. Hålltider 13.30 - 16.30 Midsommarfest hela eftermiddagen 20.00 - 24.00 Festen fortsätter med allmän dans 23.00 Fackeldans   Midsommardagen Linnéstången som står hela året Lövas och reses på Axelssons torg under festliga former med dans och ringlekar kl 15.00   Söndagen efter midsommardagen Mölledans vid Skanörs mölla Dansuppvisningar, dräktvisning och polonäs med publiken kl 16.00 - 17.00   Andra söndagen i augusti Skördegille på Andreas Lundbergagården i Falsterbo Vi gräddar äggakaga och steker fläsk, som kan sköljas ner med svagdricka, vi tröskar med slaga, dansar och visar lite hur det var "förr". Olika teman varje år. Kl 13.00 - 16.00.   Första advent Julstök på Andreas Lundbergagården i Falsterbo Vi förbereder oss inför julen på gammeldags vis. Vi bakar vita pepparkakor, stöper ljus, maler senap och pysslar. Kl 11.00 - 16.00.
